Room 4

An architect designed custom built passive solar house, Sheoaks sits lightly in its environment. Built for year round comfort the house is sited for shelter from excess summer sun yet catches its warming rays in winter. Flow through ventilation provides summer cooling while complete insulation ensures winter warmth. All systems are eco friendly.

Offering stunning ocean views, the deck is a perfect place to sit as the sun sets, perhaps with a glass of east coast wine or oysters from the local marine farm. Custom made folding tables and chairs are available if you’ve brought your own supplies for lunch or an evening meal. A trestle table is set here for barbecues, with guests seated on a bench crafted by Tasmanian furniture maker Marty Wolfhagen or on restored church pews.

Because of its proximity to an unfenced cliff we are not insured to take children at Sheoaks.

Sheoaks is a non-smoking property.
